Zero Hero

A new zero-emissions car could be joining the ranks of Mexico’s City already colourful taxi fleet.

The MX Libris is a concept car designed by eco-inventor Alberto Vllarreal, who was behind the Next Generation Project (running shoes that use energy from jogger’s own steps to illuminate their path. This unique solar-powered is designed with a rainwater harvesting roof which collects rainwater for the cooling system. Individual motors in the car’s wheels and electronically powered steering minimises the bulk of the car, giving room for one driver and four passengers with plenty of storage space.
