It’s all here for your culinary delights folks - Scorpions in vodka, coffee regurgitated by weasels and toasted ants.

For centuries Insect consumption has been part of the everyday diet of many of the world’s human inhabitants. From the Aborigines of Australia and their favoured delicacy of Witjutie grubs to the night markets of Thailand where crisp, fried Locusts and Beetles are favourite snacks to be consumed with an ice cold beer!

The folks at edible have sourced some of the World’s best known Insect delicacies and also created a few of It’s own value added Insect specialties. Accordingly to their website, all of the Insects are ‘grown specially for Human Consumption and meet all strict health and safety guidelines.’

Some of edible’s insect treats include chocolate covered giant ants, giant toasted ants, mopani worms and vodkalix lollipop.

Other than insect treats, they also have green crocodile curry in a can, weasel coffee (coffee that has been eaten and regurgitate by weasels), as well as Scorpion Vodka.

Giant toasted ants or coffee roasted from the droppings of the civet cat are definitely not my cup of tea! But I won’t mind trying the antlix lollipop and scorpion vodka! Nevertheless I do love the simple and clean packaging this British brand has conceived.
