Collage art is gaining more and more attention these days with the growing appreciate of vintage and retro style design. Volksfaden, an online fabric shop uses a mix of black and white photo with their unique fabrics. The electric dash of colours and patterns work very well together, creating a new twist on an old photo.
Linda Gaylord, the shop owner started Volksfaden with the aim to make contemporary quitting fabrics more accessible to a community which is discerning, receptive, and creative. She works with some of the hottest designers with names like Aunty Cookie, Amy Butler, Alexander Henry, Anna Maria Horner, Heather Ross, Joel Dewberry, Heather Bailey, and more. Volksfaden offers an exquisite range of exciting and innovative quilting fabrics that will “make any sewing project you undertake a pleasure from start to finish”. Most of the collections are limited editions and world-wide shipping is available.
I also love their ribbon collection, particularly the adorable “Our forest friends”, by Nic Hidebrandt, and “Robo-e-Friends” by RevoluzZza.
